Join us for Woodrow Wilson Prom party at Murray Smith’s Ranch.

Transportation:

You will need to either put together a party bus, or drive down and meet us.

Location:

The Smith Ranch (Willow Creek Ranch) is located approximately 1:15 minutes from WW. It is just south of Wortham Texas. Address will be provided once you sign up for brunch in the link below.

WHAT TO BRING (pay attention to this!!):

  • Sleeping Bag/ Pillow
  • Tent (set up the day before)
  • Camping chair (cheap at Academy)
  • Flashlight
  • Wear jeans and tennis shoes or boots
  • Light jacket and/or rain jacket (you’ll thank me later!)
  • bring Crocs or slides

Sleeping accommodations:

Here’s where it gets interesting. You’ll need to come out a day before and set up your tent in the oak grove near the main cabin. Chaperones will be sleeping in the cabin. Chaperones may also choose to sleep in tents if you want more privacy.  (There is also a Comfort Inn, Mexia TX as an option about 12 minutes away, however chaperones would probably want to spend the night with us, and the cabin is comfortable, but not super private for sleeping arrangements.)

Bathrooms:

2 port-o-lets will be delivered and be used by the kids. The cabin has a private bathroom for the chaperones.

Cost:

The only cost is for a catered barbeque breakfast brunch from Ximenez Catering at 11:00 Sunday morning. $25 per head ($50 per couple) due by Friday, April 28th (so we can tell the caterer how much food to make) . You can order your brunch here.

Chaperones:

If any parent, particularly dads, are interested in chaperoning, please go to our Signup Genius. We could really use snacks for Saturday night…and I promise, you’ll have fun as well!

Or contact msmith@remingtonsolar.com, 214-542-7711.

Liability Waiver:

All parents and kids will be required to sign a liability waiver indemnifying the ranch owners from any liability due to accidents or injuries. Form is HERE and must be signed, scanned, and sent to msmith@remingtonsolar.com.

Attendee Expectations:

This property is a beautiful 450 acres that’s pretty and wild. Party attendees are requested to be safe, but have fun. Attendees are expected to be respectful of themselves, their dates, and the ranch owners. Anyone participating in activity unbecoming to the hosts will be asked to leave. Drugs will absolutely not be tolerated and will be grounds for immediate expulsion. Chaperones will be spot checking tents throughout the evening. Transportation for that ejected individual(s) will be the responsibility of that individual and their parents.

Note: We will NOT be shooting guns.
