    100% Unhappy! I bought a Sun Shock two years ago, it seemed to have worked for about a year and a half, by “work” I mean, the copper anode turned green, very quickly and it was a lot of messy work to clean it more than once a week. Each time I brought my water sample to my local Pool Store, they told me my water was way too alkaline, which they said was not good got my pool equipment. After a little more than 18 months of use, the Sun Shock stopped working, meaning the anode no longer turned green and yes I did cleanit properly and replace the copper anode when needed. When I called the customer service line, I had to leave a message and Joslin called me back. She was nice enough but essentially she said “too bad, so sad” if you bought it from Costco there’s a 12 month warranty and if you bought it directly from Remington its 90 days. I told her that I was unhappy with such a short life expectancy and she let me know that even though I was unhappy, a lot of their customers were pleased. There was nothing else she could do. When I asked if I could escalate this concern she told me that she was it, the top of the chain and that there was no other avenue to pursue my dissatisfaction claim. Huge bummer for me. The quality is just not there. Room for much improvement and for competition to capitalize.

    The Remington Solar Sun Shock works so well that I would like to buy a few more to place in my pond..however, I need to know how it would effect my tilapia fish, and how many I need for a pond that is 8 ft. deep and 67 ft. wide?

    Hi Murray,
    I just wanted to let you know that your customer service is as good as your products. And that’s a good thing. I really needed help setting up my SolaMist, and your customer service department went beyond the call of duty to help me. The controller wasn’t working right, and you got me going. The system was working great for a while, but then it stopped. But you guys got me going again in no time. (Brilliant using Facetime. It was like having a local service call.) The system has been working great ever since. Thanks so much. Your service really sets you apart.
