However, the solar attic fan has several key benefits: This solar-powered fan requires no additional energy, resulting in savings in monthly utility bills, much lower stress on HVAC equipment and insulation, and reducing damaging moisture. Furthermore, Remington Solar attic fans use brushless DC motors (as opposed to brushed AC motors) which rarely, if ever, need replacing.
Our solar attic fans include features like a thermostat and humidistat, which enable the fan to respond dynamically to changing attic conditions. When temperatures rise to 80 degrees or humidity levels increase to 75%, the fan automatically turns on to optimize ventilation. This advanced functionality improves energy efficiency and protects the attic from damage caused by excessive moisture or heat.
